We Start With American Hardwoods

We know American hardwoods produce a mellow smoke that compliments the taste of our barbecued food. For this reason, we employ woodsmen that understand our strict standards requiring fresh, green hardwood, grown on high ground. They hand select and harvest this hardwood for Bandana's and deliver this fresh-cut wood directly to our restaurants.

We Hand Rub All Our Meats

Our meats are hand rubbed before they go into the smoker. This is how we apply our special Bandana's Dry Rub, which contains over a dozen herbs and spices. This 50 year old family recipe, gives all our meats that unique Bandana's flavor.

Time Is One Of Our Secret Ingredients

It still takes 11 to 14 hours for our meats to reach their peak of tenderness and flavor. Each Bandana's location has two, large capacity slow smokers that operate 24/7 to guarantee there will always be fresh barbecued meats ready for our customers. The temperature is set at 200 degrees which ensures that the green hardwood doesn't burn, but smokes all night.

Hand Cut To Order Bar-B-Q Is What We Do

Bandana's is a barbecue restaurant, that's what we're all about, and consistency is the key. You won't find hamburgers, fish or pasta entrees on our menu. What you will find is the best "Southern Style" smoked barbecue pork, beef, chicken, ribs, and turkey you've ever tasted. Each order is hand pulled and hand cut into bite sized pieces. And with so few items, there's no reason not to do it right.

We Only Serve Bandana's Bar-B-Q Sauces The recipes for these six sauces have become Bandana's standards. Original (mustard based), Sweet and Smoky, Spicy and Hot & Chicago Sweet. All six sauces are available on the table for customers to add their favorite finishing touch to our barbecued meats.

Even Our Side Orders Are Special

We take just as much care with our side dishes as we do with our meat. Our Potato Salad is hand made, fresh each day. It's an old family recipe, it doesn't come from a 5 gallon food service bucket. Our Bar-B-Q Baked Beans are slow cooked with our special sauce and chunks of smoked meat. We give the same attention to our other sides like; spicy Brunswick Stew, Fried Corn on the Cob and Grilled Garlic Bread.
